Over 120 riders, up on last years entry, flocked to the Glencoe Mountain Resort on the West of Scotland for the Bluegrass Enduro. This event was a three stage lift assisted enduro race over some very rough tracks and open hillside. To add to that the recent snow fall on the hill added another element and even more snow than previous years. The first two stages seeded everyone for the mass start event and I was ecstatic to have taken the lead by 11 seconds following these stages. This gave me the first pick on the front row and I lined up with Joe Barnes on one side and Liam Moynihan on the other. After getting the ‘hole shot’ I then had a short battle on the snow with Joe Barnes before taking the lead and maintaining it to the finish adding over 10 seconds more to my first two stages to take the win.
I now have another week of training before Ireland EWS and then the Scottish Tweedlove EWS at the end of the month. Thanks again for the help so far the year. The results are starting to come together after a consistent period of riding and training.
