The North East of Scotland (Grampian) seems to be gaining some momentum within the biking community. Not only are there more and more riders hitting the trails (visual observation only) but there's numerous groups and development plans forming. This is great for Aberdeen and the Shire which has in recent years be battered. It's almost like Connor McGregor waltz in and began a punishing round. I've got confident though that Aberdeen and the Shire will pull through, avoid a KO and come out the other side stronger. Here's hoping.
Our development even made the BBC news and Radio Scotlands Out for the Weekend Show last week with Martin Byers providing a very clear and concise breakdown on our aims and ambitions. The stoke levels were high as Calum Shands kids hit booters and found real fun and enjoyment. Calum even stating that it was great to drag them away from the iPads. More of this for the younger generation is definitely important. Less screen time, more skid time!
I wanted to showcase a little of what Aberdeen currently has in terms of riding and put together a short video of a day out at Scolty hill. Check it out over on the Wideopenmag.co.uk facebook page or on my Youtube channel.
